Mrs. Judell “Mimmie” Elkins Vance, passed from this life on January 3, 2022, at the Jean Waddle Care Center.
Judell is survived by her husband of 60 years, Rev. Darrell Vance; daughters: Lisa Milby, Theresa (John) Carter, and Felicia (Derek) Daulton; grandchildren: Brittany (Ryan) Guthrie, Jordan (Anna) Milby, Jaci (Logan) Phelps, Dakota (Aleasha) Carter, Sydney Daulton, and Aubrey Daulton; great-grandchildren: Knox, Olsyn, and Neely Guthrie, Henry and Eleanor Milby, Ivy Phelps, and Reese Carter; sister: Christine Lamb; brother: Ruel (Marilyn) Elkins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Alma Elkins; a son-in-law: David Milby; sisters: Freedia Thompson, and Genrose Straley; brother: Elmer Elkins Jr.
Services will be at Ferguson Baptist Church on Saturday, January 8, 2022. Visitation will be from 11:00am – 2:00pm, with the Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mintonville Methodist Church or Bethelridge Methodist Church, both in Casey County, or to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Mimmie's family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses from LCRH: 3rd floor medical, CVU, the Hospice Unit, and Dr. Kylie Rice.
