Mr. James Earl "Jimmy" Hutson, Jr. of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of Barbara Ellen Gibson Williams and the late James Earl Hutson, Sr., was born on January 7, 1968 in West Virginia. He departed this life on Thursday, October 17, 2024 in Green County, Kentucky having attained the age of 56 years, nine months and ten days.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Jimmy worked in maintenance and was an employee of Dixie Restoration for several years. In earlier years, Jimmy was a boxer and participated in Golden Gloves. He was one match away from competing in the Olympics. He truly loved his family and was known as "Pa," just not to his own family, but to many others as well.
He is survived by his wife of over 32 years, Connie Sue Pierce Hutson, having united in marriage on March 28, 1992.
In addition to his wife, Connie Hutson of Greensburg, other survivors include his mother: Barbara Williams of West Virginia; two daughters and sons-in-law: Niki Curry (Nathan) of Greensburg and Tosha Curry (Joe) of Hardyville; five grandchildren: Sierra Beams, Colton Beams, Destiny Bowles, Jacob Blaylock and Ryan Blaylock; three brothers: Shane Hutson (Michelle), Ted Hutson (Michelle) all of West Virginia, and Wes Hutson (Amanda) of Virginia; plus a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Beverly Lucas, and his twin Terresa Hutson; and his step-father: Mike Williams.
The funeral services for Mr. James Earl "Jimmy" Hutson, Jr. will be conducted at 3 P.M., Central Time, on Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Perkins Cemetery. Bro. Trent Davis and Bro. Ricky Arnett officiating.
Visitation is requested after 8 A.M. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
