Frankie Bowen

Mrs. Frankie Jean Kiddwell Bowen of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Donnie and Hazel Jane Plemmons Kiddwell, was born on April 29, 1935 in LaFollette, Tennessee. She departed this life on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at her residence having attained the age of 89 years, three months and nine days.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of First Christian Church in Elizabethtown.

Mrs. Bowen was retired from working as the Head Chef at the Fort Knox Officer’s Club. She was a member of the American Legion Hardin Post 113 Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed cooking, crocheting and especially playing bingo.

She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children, Thornton Lavaughn Hooks on December 7, 1979. She later united in marriage to George Edward Bowen, who preceded her in death on October 6, 2005.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Cindy and Jay Vincent of Greensburg; one son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Connie Hooks of Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Amy Middleton (Amanda) of Elizabethtown, Kimberly Hooks and Nikki Hooks both of Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren: Justin Cundiff (Alyssa) of Texas, Allison Cundiff of Tennessee and Kaden Cushman of Oklahoma; three brothers: James Miracle of Corbin, Jeff Miracle of Middlesboro and Bob Kiddwell of Maryland; two sisters: Janice Miracle of Corbin and Anita Teeter of Maryland.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda. 

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg is in charge of the arrangements.
