Mrs. Deborah Lynn Matney of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late W.C. and Iva Marie Franklin Conner, was born on January 5, 1954 in Louisville. She departed this life on November 11, 2022 at the Norton’s Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville having attained the age of 68 years, 10 months and six days.
She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Fry Baptist Church. She was also a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie Twyman Matney, on March 20, 2019, having united in marriage on January 25, 1969.
Survivors include two sons: Brent Matney and Brian Matney and fiancé Tasha Rooks all of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Kimber Thompson and husband Jordan, Sarah Elizabeth Matney and Baley Maxx Matney; one great-grandchild: Silas Grey Thompson; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary Sue and Sammy Cox of Greensburg and Linda Marie and Ricky Smith of Summersville; four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Charles W. and Jackie Conner of Greensburg, Donald Joseph and Tonia Conner and James David Conner all of Louisville and Terry Carson and Maureen Conner of Pennsylvania; plus a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 5:00 P.M., Central Time, Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg. Bro. Victor Matney officiating.
Visitation is requested on Saturday from 3:00 P.M., Central Time, until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to the family fund and can be made at the funeral home.
