Bobby Wayne Rogers

Mr. Bobby Wayne Rogers of the Exie Community of Green County, was born on February 2, 1942 in Adair County, Kentucky to the late Shreve Rodgers and Ruby Furkin Rodgers. He departed this life on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at his home having attained the age of 81 years, nine months and seven days.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Community Baptist Church. Bobby retired from Houchen’s Industries and was a farmer. He always looked forward to going to the beach with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Reva Gale Bagby Rogers on November 29, 2022, having united in marriage on December 19, 1964.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Teresa and Dennis Tobin of Exie; two granddaughters: Virjillia Dane “Jill” Milby of Exie and Latisha Malay Forman of Edmonton; two great-grandsons: Dagyn Milby and Bentley Forman; plus a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his siblings: Joseph “Sim” Rodgers, Sam Rogers, Mayme Green, Fern Kerr, Joyce Rodgers, Charlie Rodgers, Billy Rodgers and Sonny Rodgers.

The funeral services for Mr. Bobby Rogers will be conducted at 2 P.M., Central Time, on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Thomas Metcalf and Bro. Charles Jewell officiating.

Visitation is requested after 4 P.M., Central Time, until 8 P.M. on Saturday and after 7 A.M. until the time of the service on Sunday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River or Gideon Bibles, which can be made at the funeral home.
